Capcom Arcade Stadium Description
Capcom Arcade Stadium is a collection of iconic Capcom games that have triumphed on arcade machines. The game is distributed in a free-to-play model. Only 1943: The Battle of Midway is included as standard, while the remaining 31 games can be purchased as DLC. Three of those add-ons are themed sets of ten iconic Capcom productions, while the fourth includes the Ghosts 'n Goblins game.
Mechanics
Capcom Arcade Stadium not only allows you to play cult games from the eighties and nineties of the twentieth century, but also includes a number of improvements and goodies. So we can choose the difficulty level, freely rewind time after making mistakes, adjust the speed of the game to individual preferences and finally save the game status at any time.
As for the themed DLC with which you can expand this compilation - the first is called Dawn of the Arcade and includes the following titles: Vulgus, Pirate Ship Higemaru, 1942, Commando, Section Z, Trojan, Legendary Wings, Bionic Commando, Forgotten Worlds and Ghouls 'n Ghosts. The second pack is entitled Arcade Revolution and features games: Strider, Dynasty Wars, Final Fight, 1942: Counter Attack, Mercs, Mega Twins, Carrier Air Wing, Street Fighter II, Captain Commando and Varth: Operation Thunderstorm. The third set is called Arcade Evolution and includes games: Warriors of Fate, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Armored Warriors, Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness, 19XX: The War Against Destiny, Battle Circuit, Giga Wing, 1944: The Loop Master, and Progear.
Game modes
Capcom Arcade Stadium lets you play solo or in local multiplayer for two players. A substitute for online competition are leaderboards that allow you to compare your score against other players' records.
Technical aspects
Capcom Arcade Stadium doesn't change the graphics in each game. However, the set includes a number of options related to the image, among which we find the ability to choose a background or impose a filter on the image to simulate play on a CRT screen.
