Championship Manager 17 Description
Championship Manager 17 for AND and iOS is a football manager, belonging to one of the most popular brands of the genre. The game uses a free-to-play system with optional micro transactions. The title was created by Square Enix internal development studio.
Gameplay
Created with mobile systems in mind, Championship Manager 17 for AND and iOS is a return to the roots of the genre. The previous mobile installment, Championship Manager: All-Stars, released in 2015, was centered upon an abstract task of creating a dream team, while this installment allows to play in real matches and fight for authentic trophies.
As always, we assume the role of a manager running a real football club, and our task is to lead our organization onto a path of victory and financial success. The player’s responsibilities include recruiting promising footballers and selling our pupils to other clubs. We are involved in organizing training sessions and preparing tactics for the matches. At the same time, all events have some influence over our finances, so controlling the budget plays a key role.
The main selling point of the game is the database, built on the basis of official licenses. It encompasses 450 clubs from 15 countries, 25 leagues and tens of thousands of players. The developers included up-to-date statistics and line-ups, a higher level of realism, and an improved interface, which simplifies finding key information and the efficient management of the whole club.
Mechanics
The developers did not limit themselves only to updates, and introduced a few novelties. An ability to hire assistants has been included, who are able to relieve us from certain duties, but the most dedicated managers can still manually control every aspect of the club. A new, two-dimensional match engine has been introduced, allowing to follow the matches live, and modify the tactics on the fly. The system responsible for players’ practice has been immensely expanded, resulting in more control over the development of our pupils.
