Empires and Allies

Empires and Allies is a strategy game with social features created for AND and iOS by Zynga, a company known for a variety of casual games, including FarmVille, Mafia Wars 2, or Hidden Shadows. This time developers tried their hands at the genre dominated by Boom Beach, Clash of Clans on other titles of the kind.

Plot

While playing Empires and Allies you become a commander of an allied army and have to stand against a powerful terrorist organization, known as GRA, which managed to take control over almost the entire earth.

Mechanics

In terms of gameplay, Empires and Allies for AND and iOS is not much different from other social strategy games available on mobile devies. The player’s primary task is setting up a base of operations. To this end you must raise a variety of buildings that serve different roles, such as weapons production or defense against enemy attacks. After creating an army, which consists of not only men, but also highly-advanced combat machines (drones, tanks, etc.), you send your troops on various missions, which usually come down to destroying an enemy base. Gameplay is enriched by an array of special tasks. Those challenges are available for a limited number of days, after which they get replaced with others. Of course, the main focus is on online gameplay, therefore, in order to take part in the fight you must have a constant Internet connection.

Misc.

Empires and Allies for AND and iOS is based on a free-to-play business model. While the game itself is free, the player is encounraged to spend money on various boosters that reduce the duration of some actions.
