Fighting 31 August 2017

An old-school action game developed by one man from the Japanese developer team Skeleton Crew Studio. BackSlash is a beat'em up game, in which the players observe the action from a side perspective. The gameplay builds on battles taking place in special 2D arenas. The player assumes the role of a warrior who represents one of the ten available combat styles that differ from one another in terms of special abilities and weapons used. When in battle, one can use his bare fists, cold steel (e.g. swords and katanas), ranged weapons (e.g. shuriken throwing stars, throwing knives), and a wide range of both offensive and defensive spells. The key to success lies in swift dodging and blocking enemy blows, as well as mounting counterattacks. The gameplay becomes gradually more dynamic - the longer one plays the game, the faster his character moves.
