Implosion: Never Lose Hope Description
Implosion: Never Lose Hope for AND and iOS is a science-fiction hack ‘n’ slash RPG developed by Rayark, a Taiwanese studio specializing in mobile titles. Even if the game sports a science-fiction setting, the developers were inspired by the genre classics, such as Dungeon Siege or Diablo.
Plot
The story takes us to a distant future, where humanity attempts to explore the space in search for new planets to colonize. A group of scientists develops a unique technology allowing rapid intergalactic travel through quantum tunnels. The technology, albeit successful, results in a terrible disaster – the signal from Earth is intercepted by an Alien race known as XADA, which, in time, begins a full-scale invasion on our planet. We begin our adventure twenty years after the fall of Earth, where the forces of two remaining human colonies attempt to drive away the invaders and reclaim the planet.
Mechanics
The action is seen from an isometric perspective and sees us traverse the numerous levels and fight against hordes of opponents using melee weapons and firearms. The players are left with a considerable set of weaponry that can be further modified by applying certain modifications during the interspacing briefing sessions. Moreover, the heroes have access to numerous moves and special abilities that are unlocked continually during the course of the game. Each level ends with a boss fight that requires a bit more finesse in approach and often takes a while.
Technical Aspects
Implosion: Never Lose Hope for AND and iOS is characterized by high-quality visuals that manage to hold their own against console titles. The gameplay is reinforced by directed cut-scenes with professional voiceovers, as well as orchestrated soundtrack created by John Kurlander – a Grammy award laureate who has been credited for his work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy. In opposition to the iOS version, the Android version is free-to-play, and offers first six levels free of charge, with the whole experience being unlocked once the player buys the title.
