Lair of the Evildoer is an action-RPG with elements of arcade shooter, created by independent studio Going Loud. The player-controlled hero is a rebellious creation of a crazy scientist, Dr. Odious, who tries to avoid destruction and get out of the traps of his creator's headquarters.
Lair of the Evildoer Description
After a good reception of the 2010 Zombie Accountant, the developers from Going Loud decided to work on a much more extensive production. Lair of the Evildoer, released on X360 and PC, combines elements of an action-RPG and 2D shooters. The whole was enriched with cartoon graphics and a large dose of humor.
Plot
The action of the game takes place in a heavily guarded secret base of the mad Dr. Odious, who, as befits a villain, intends to conquer the world. One of the fruits of the experiments of the wicked genius is the main character. However, the creator does not seem happy with the final result and intends to get rid of his work. Unexpectedly, the creature begins to manifest a self-preservation instinct or even rebellious traits, and instead of patiently waiting for the annihilation, he decides to flee.
Mechanics
The player directs the protagonist's actions by observing the action from a bird's eye view. Our task is to break through the trapped corridors of the secret base of Dr. Odious who systematically sends out his servants. The game consists mainly of exterminating enemies using 25 weapons, each of which has at least several variants.
The developers have prepared a total of 20 levels where you can encounter over 30 types of opponents (e.g. zombies, robots or mutant animals). As the game progresses, the hero acquires experience, which allows him to develop his basic attributes - strength, agility, vitality and defense.
Game modes
The creators decided to use two-dimensional graphics, enriched with simple animations. The whole experience is complemented by funny dialogues and dynamic soundtrack.
