Islands of Nyne: Battle Royale (PC)
An online first-person shooter introducing a massive multiplayer mode inspired by the Japanese novel/manga Battle Royale and The Hunger Games. We assume the role of the participants of sadistic games held by a race of barbarous, high-tech aliens. The story is just a pretext to the actual game, though, as Islands of Nyne: Battle Royale is a multiplayer-only title with gameplay modes for up to 100 players. The players engage in PvP combat taking place on remote islands surrounded by plasma field that slowly absorbs the playing field. We can choose from numerous firearms and melee weapons, while our goal is to eliminate all other participants and finish the battle as the last man standing.
Adventure 11 July 2018
A first-person action thriller from an indie developer, offering support for VR headsets. Stifled bases the exploration mechanics on the original concept of use of echolocation – as they spread, sound waves reveal the layout of rooms and shapes of objects around you. Sounds can be made not only by the protagonist and some environmental objects, but also by the player themselves, using a microphone. However, you must be cautious, because the darkness hides monsters taken straight from a nightmare, which actively hunt the protagonist. In order to survive he sometimes has to grope in the dark, so to avoid detection by dangerous creatures. On the other hand, you can use noises to distract enemies, making it possible for you to sneak past them unnoticed. Stifled combines 3D environments with vector graphics in an original way. Although most of the time you only see the contour of environments, from time to time you also visit realistically designed locations.

The story of Lost in Harmony: Kaito’s Adventure is set in an unknown futuristic world, across which the protagonist – young boy named Kaito – rides on his skateboard, carrying his friend, Aya, on his back. Each chapter represents one of the hero's phobias, such as fear of water, heights, or crowds. Kaito’s skateboard moves automatically, and the player has to avoid various obstacles by turning right, left, or jumping in right moments. However, all of this is directly connected to the background music, which not only affects the gameplay, but is also used for storytelling and expressing character’s emotions.
Objects in Space (PC)
Simulation November 2018
An unusual space simulator created by Flat Earth Games. The action of the game takes place in a distant future, in which humanity has colonized many planetary systems. The player’s objective is to earn a lot of money - since his vessel is designed for moving merchandise, a direct confrontation with an opponent will end tragically. This is also why the game does not deliver spectacular battle sequences, and the key aspect of the gameplay is to use the stealthy approach and avoid confrontation with large groups of enemies. In order to succeed, one has to properly manage their energy and resources and make a number of difficult decisions. The players, more than once, have to decide which systems of the vessel are to remain active, and which should be shut down.

An original mix of an adventure game and a platformer, developed by the independent studio Below the Game. The action is set in a fantasy world in which you play as the titular hero – a young scribe Haimrik. You mission is to face an evil king and his Word Warriors. The protagonist, however, is not helpless and alone – accompanied by Masamba, a constantly-hungry lioness, he commands the Power of the Words, his basic weapon. Gameplay consists of exploring locations and jumping on platforms. Solving puzzles and fighting enemies play the key roles in the title – both aspects require stepping on the right stones with words carved in them. For example, a stone with “water” written on it, neutralizes a fire trap, while closed doors are opened by a stone with the word “key”. The title features loads of black humor and unusual, monochromatic visuals with the sepia effect.
