A dungeon crawler developed by Nippon Ichi Software. Criminal Girls: Invite Only is a new and updated version of an original jRPG released on PlayStation Portable in 2010. The player takes care of the souls of seven girls suffering punishments in hell. The protagonists’ sins can be atoned once they climb the highest floor of the hellish spire and defeat various monsters – only then can they earn the right to be reborn in the real world.

The action of Mary Skelter: Nightmares is set in a fantasy world in which most of the humans are imprisoned in a humongous prison guarded by dangerous creatures. When the main hero and his friend are set free by a mysterious organization, they find out that they received supernatural powers.

A re-edition of a 2014 first-person dungeon crawler Stranger of Sword City, developed by a Japanese studio, Experience. The game was enriched with new elements, characters and scenarios. The player takes on the role of a sole survivor of a plane crash, who learns that they have been transferred to a fantasy world. The protagonist soon finds a way to Escario - the legendary city of swords. The inhabitants take the newcomer for the Chosen One, who is supposed to save them from certain evil force.

The fourth major installment of Valkyria Chronicles, a popular jRPG series developed by Media Vision. Revolution introduces a new setting, focusing on the small Kingdom of Jutland, standing against the powerful Ruzhien Empire, which had grown in power immensely ever since the discovery of a mysterious mineral. The player assumes the role of Amleth, the leader of an elite unit who is supported by the beautiful Princess Ophelia Augusta Jutland.

A tactical RPG which is a spin-off of a popular series of hack and slash games, developed by Omega Force. The game is set in the Three Kingdoms period, at the end of the Han dynasty's rule. The plot focuses on the character of a young warrior by the name of Zhao Yun, and his friend Lei Bin. The adventure begins when the characters discover a mysterious cave - in there, they find a young woman frozen into a brick of ice.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is the eighth installment of the fantasy action RPG series from Nihon Falcom. The game takes place in the same Greek mythology-inspired fantasy world as the series' previous installments. Once again we play as the warrior called Adol Christin who, after the ship he was traveling went under, ends up with the rest of the crew on the cursed island Seiren. Our hero's dreams about the mysterious girl named Dana turn out to be the key to solving the mystery of the island.

A dungeon crawler RPG which is the third installment in the Cladun series. Similar to the previous iterations, Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku! was created by Nippon Ichi Software. The player is once again taken to the magical world of Arcanus Cella, which is a base of operations for heroes that set out on expeditions to dangerous dungeons. This time, the game begins at the end of the Sengoku period in Japan, when the country was brought to its knees by internal wars and rebellions.

Platform RPG roguelike game, developed by a small, independent studio Nerdook Productions. The player travels different, randomly generated stages and faces hordes of adversaries. The victories gained on the battlefield result in advancement to higher levels of experience and unblocking increasingly powerful combat abilities.

A combination of jRPG, dungeon crawler and a music game. Ray Gigant takes place in the future in Tokyo. The titular Gigants are aliens who invaded the Earth. The main protagonist of the game – Amakaze – stands in their way, having awakened a great power inside of himself. The player is tasked with learning to control the extraordinary abilities of the protagonist as he is trying to get rid of the invaders from his home city.

A Japanese action role-playing game by Aquria, based on the popular Sword Art Online franchise, which started with a novel series by Reki Kawahara. The game is set in the near future in Japan, where virtual reality MMORPGs are wildly popular. The story of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization takes place inside one of such games, called Sword Art: Origin, which gained popularity after a group of players was trapped in it.

A jRPG developed by Tokyo RPG Factory, also known as "Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna" in Japan. It makes references to the classics of the genre and games such as the legendary classic Chrono Trigger. The story is set in a land of ever-lasting winter. Furthermore, the region is regularly terrorized by demons. In order to satisfy them, the inhabitants decide to sacrifice a girl, the game's eponymous protagonist.

A turn-based jRPG with roguelike features developed by Spike Chunsoft. The title is a spin-off of the Mystery Dungeon series based on One Way Heroics, an independent game that is popular in Japan. 20 playable characters are available in the game and among them there are the characters from such series as Danganronpa and Shiren the Wanderer. Not all of them are playable from the start – the player must collect points which then can be spent on buying new perks and character classes.

Crypt of the NecroDancer lets us play as a girl named Cadence, who sets on a journey to find her missing father. It leads her to the mysterious crypt ruled by an evil demon known as NecroDancer. It casts an unusual curse on the protagonist, making her heart always beat in rhythm of a music.

The title was developed by Media Vision in cooperation with Bandai Namco and it takes place in the fictional world known from the popular anime series. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth takes place in the not too distant future, where the difference between the real and digital world is not so clear anymore.

A remastered version of the Japanese 2D action RPG - Odin Sphere - which was released in 2007 on the PlayStation 2 console. The story of the game takes place in a fantasy reality loosely based on the Richard Wagner's famous epic opera Der Ring des Nibelungen and focuses on the stories of five, seemingly unrelated characters. The player gets to know each of them better as he progress in the game and their histories intertwine with each other, creating a single, epic tale.

A Japanese action RPG created for mobile devices. To be precise, it is a remake of Final Fantasy Adventure - a spin-off of the famous jRPG series. We play as one of the enslaved gladiators who each morning have to fight a different deadly creature on the arena for the amusement of the Dark Lord. Once the protagonist finds out that the oppressor is close to finding the legendary Tree of Mana that can grant him power over the entire world, he decides to escape and stop the villain.

Its story takes place in modern Tokyo, where protagonist and his fiancée get caught up in a mysterious explosion. The hero awakes after some time in an unknown place and discovers that the explosion has been caused by the god Yamatoga, and which led the 12 victims of the explosion to gaining partial divinity and being transported to a new, better world.

The player enters a fantasy universe in which a great war between the Heavens and the Underworld took place 1000 years ago. The peaceful lives of Underworld demons have been interrupted by the appearance of Trillion – the legendary god of destruction whose objective is to begin the apocalypse.

A spin-off to an installment in the popular series of Japanese games developed by Omega Force - Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, a game that was released in 2014. In contrast to previous installments of the series, this time it is a turn-based RPG with strategy features. In Dynasty Warriors: Eiketsuden (originally called Shin Sangoku Musou Eiketsuden) the gameplay consists mostly of fighting battles on small arenas on which player moves and attacks by spending a certain number of action points.
