Star Wars (1987) Description
Star Wars is a dynamic shooting set in the classic Star Wars trilogy by George Lucas and at the same time the first PC game, dealing with the Rebellian fight with the evil Darth Vader and his Empire. The player will sit at the controls of the X-Wing fighter, which he will try to do the impossible - destroy the Death Star. It is a huge combat station, whose firepower distributes the planets to the first factors.
The programme offers three different stages. The first of these is the traditional space combat, where the player will repel the attacks of TIE Fighter and TIE Bomber fighters and destroy the missiles heading towards him. The second stage takes place on the surface of the Death Star, densely built-up with watchtowers waiting for annihilation. The finale is, of course, an immortal rally in a narrow corridor, which ends with the shooting of a torpedo into the ventilation hatch and, thus, the destruction of the combat station. As befits a classic rail-shooter, the player does not have to worry about control. Its X-Wing will automatically move in the desired direction, so you can focus all your attention on using the viewfinder.
The action is represented by simple three-dimensional graphics. The objects are not specially developed or even more textured, but you can easily get to know what we are dealing with at the moment. The big advantage of the program is its spontaneity, especially at higher difficulty levels, when a tiny fighter is attacked by a huge number of enemies. In general, Star Wars is a very successful product and although time has clearly marked its mark on it, it is still worth attention.
