The House in Fata Morgana Description
The House in Fata Morgana is a visual novel developed by Novectacle.
Story
The main character of The House in Fata Morgana is a man affected by amnesia who wakes up in an old residence. The woman standing above him convinces him that he owns the house and she is a maid who works here. Under the pretext of helping the protagonist remember the past, the mysterious stranger takes him for a walk through the four rooms of the property. Crossing subsequent door, the protagonists find themselves in different epochs, during which the house witnessed various tragedies of its inhabitants.
Mechanics
The House in Fata Morgan does not deviate from the standards of the visual novel genre. During the game, we follow the story told by means of a text narration and watch static images presenting the situation in which the protagonist finds himself at a given moment. The plot is non-linear, so from time to time we make decisions determining its further course.
Technical aspects
Visuals of The House in Fata Morgan adopt manga-like style, with two-dimensional illustrations made with attention to detail. During the game, we are accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack, which creates a disturbing atmosphere.
