Another installment in a bestselling action-adventure game series based on the license of the LEGO bricks. This title is a result of cooperation between the developers from Traveller’s Tales and the Marvel company. Once again, players visit the amazing world of comic superheroes. The story is based on the Avengers film (2012) and its sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Therefore, you can play as one of the numerous Marvel characters known from both the graphic novels and films, including Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Loki, and Hawkeye. In terms of gameplay, Lego Marvel’s Avengers is not much different from other games in the series, such as LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Gameplay is presented in third-person perspective and it boils down to exploration, solving puzzles, gathering collectibles, and fighting with opponents.

Minecraft has been developed with the intention of unleashing the creativity of players, who can freely change the game's virtual world made from voxels (cubic blocks). The gameplay concentrates on terrain transformations, building structures, crafting items, and creating your own adventures. The game consists of two modes: a classic one, which allows for unending experience, and survival, in which we have to prepare to fend off monster assaults at night. In addition to single player, Minecraft also offers online multiplayer. The game from Mojang AB is distinguished by its unique retro visuals.

The fifth fully-fledged installment of the survival horror series started on PlayStation 2. In the game we play the role of three heroes who come to the area of the mysterious Hikayama Mountain, guided by various personal motives. The game is divided into episodes during which we search for missing persons. An inseparable element of the characters' equipment is a special camera that allows them to exorcise ghosts by taking pictures of them.

A survival horror action game initially released exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. Resident Evil: Revelations is a spin-off installment of the Resident Evil series, created and developed by Capcom. The action takes place in 2005, between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. The players have the opportunity to accompany Jill Valentine and Parker Luciani in their search for Chris Redfield and Jessica Sherawa. The trail leads to a ship called Queen Zenobia, the people aboard of which were infected by the t-Virus. Apart from the story campaign, Resident Evil: Revelations also offers the Raid Mode, a set of missions to perform solo or in cooperation with another person.

An extraordinary point-and-click adventure game and a spiritual successor to the legendary The Neverhood, a game developed in 1996 by Doug TenNapel. This new title was created by the author of the original game, who managed to gather nearly entire old staff back together for this project. The story tells of the adventures of a likeable alien named Tommynaut, who survives a spacecraft crash and finds himself on a strange planet, where together with his companion, dog Beak-Beak, the hero gets captured and locked in the titular stronghold of Armikrog. What distinguishes the game, is its unique artwork – in-game locations and character models were made of plasticine and brought to life using time-lapse technique. This time-consuming work was done by a number of puppeteers, animators, and sculptors. Thanks to their work, the developers managed to recreate the unique atmosphere of the original game, which, apart from interesting story and a cast of likeable characters, offered a large doze of wacky humor.

An action adventure sequel to the 2012 The Amazing Spider-Man. Developed by Beenox Inc, a Canadian studio also responsible for such games featuring the Marvel’s superhero as Spider-Man 3: The Game, Spider-Man: Edge of Time and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The story in the game loosely translates the adventures from the movie directed by Marc Webb into a video game setting. Players, who assume the role of the titular Spider-Man, have to find the assassin who murdered Peter Parker’s uncle - Ben. During the game, the player has to face numerous comic-book villains, including Electro, Kingpin, Black Cat, Green Goblin, and more. The sandbox gameplay mechanics give the players the freedom to explore the virtual version of Manhattan while completing assigned tasks.

An episodic adventure game created by Telltale Games, the experts of the genre, in cooperation with Mojang Ab, The game is set in the cult universe of Minecraft, whose world stands on the brink of destruction, and the only chance of saving it is a legendary brotherhood, known as the Order of the Stone. You play as a character named Jesse, who, together with his friends, sets off on a perilous journey to find the Order and save the world. The title is modeled after other productions from the studio, consisting of 5 separate episodes, throughout which you have to make tough choices that shape the story. What puts this game apart from other Telltale Games titles is the graphics, far from their traditional comic stylistics. Instead, the game features distinctive voxel-art graphics, which means both the environment and characters look like made of big square blocks.

The Song of Seven (WiiU)
An episodic, fairytale-like point-and-click adventure game by an American developer Enlightened Games. The plot of The Song of Seven is set in a fantasy world of Pria, inhabited by fantastic races and original creatures. The main character is a boy named Kiba. When a mythical evil starts growing in strength, and slowly casts its shadow upon the land, the adolescent protagonist has to leave the village and find a way to deal with the danger. When it comes to mechanics, the game utilizes typical solutions known from point-and-click adventure games, but offering a modern approach to the genre, appearing in the fully 3D environment, third person perspective camera, and analog control system. The gameplay focuses on exploration and solving logical and musical puzzles, but an equally important aspect of the game are the extensive dialogue sequences, revealing the secrets of the plot.

This is the debut of Flying Carpet Games - members of the studio that formerly co-created many popular mobile games. The game offers a third-person action-adventure experience offering a story about a girl imprisoned in a castle, built using ancient technology, by an evil queen. However, the protagonist manages to cast off the invisible shackles with the help of a multipurpose robot. This is how their adventure begins; in order for the characters to regain their freedom, they will have to face the queen's guards and a massive number of interestingly designed traps. The game makes vivid references to the oldschool classic Ico (PlayStation 2), emphasizing the interactions between the two characters. The girl can reach hardly accessible areas; the robot on the other hand, shines with a sword in its metal hand, eliminating the enemies encountered and removing obstacles standing in their way.

A continuation of the 2009 hilarious adventure game developed by KING Art Games that tells a story of the search for a powerful magical artifact. The story of the second installment picks up one year after the events shown by its predecessor, allowing the players to control the team of heroes aided by an amiable creature named Critter – one might remember all these characters from the first game. Gameplay mechanics haven't changed significantly and they still draw from the solutions typical for point & click adventure games. During the game, the players have to solve many new riddles – in order to do this, one is bound to use the characters’ unique skills. Like in its predecessor, the gameplay in The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is filled with humor making fun of the fantasy clichés found in many books, movies, and games (such as The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Song of Ice and Fire, Discworld, and World of Warcraft). The visuals have been significantly improved but the game still features the same specific style one might remember from the first installment.

A 3D action adventure game with elements of logic puzzle and RPG, developed by Rain Games – independent studio who also created Teslagrad. The story in World to the West focuses on four different characters, who join forces in order to stop a villain and recover a treasures he has stolen. On their adventure, the group of four protagonists will have to visit a number of locations like a wild jungle or an icy tundra, explore forsaken ruins, discover forgotten civilizations, and solve the mystery of an ancient prophecy. The gameplay mechanics resemble those featured in classic installments of The Legend of Zelda series. Players, who observe all the action from a top-down perspective, get to traverse the partially open world and gradually unlock new regions. On their way, the players will encounter many characters, both friendly and hostile – when confronting them, players can choose to fight, persuade, or simply avoid them.

The player takes on the role of one of the members of a bio-hazard department, in whose skin he traverses a ghastly residence, looking for a vaccine for a companion infected with a deadly virus. He has only thirty minutes to complete his task - if he does not manage to return to the sick person with medicine and discover the mystery of his home, the struggle will start anew.

A continuation of an independent point-and-click adventure game developed by Storybird Games. Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus (also known as Finding Teddy 2) sees us assume control of a new protagonist – a girl named Tarant, whose hobby leads to an unexpected event that allows her to enter the world of video games. Armed with a small sword and a shield, the heroine embarks on a dangerous journey supported by her favorite teddy bear. In opposition to its predecessor, which was a typical point-and-click adventure game, Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus is a two-dimensional action-adventure game with numerous platforming and RPG elements that create a metroidvania-like experience. The player is tasked with exploring complex maze-like levels that contain both action sequences as well as demanding riddles. Each level is filled with additional pick-ups, secrets, all the while offering different types of enemies to fight. When it comes to graphics, the game employs hand-drawn, retro Pixel-Art visuals, similar as its predecessor.

An unusual adventure game by Funkatronic Labs, combining elements of platformer and turn-based strategy productions. The plot of Nova-111 revolves around the effects of an experiment conducted by 111 ingenious scientists from an alternate world, where time flows in turns. The result of their actions is an anomaly that merged both worlds. As a pilot of the research vessel Nova, we have to find and rescue the scientists and to remove the anomaly to separate the dimensions. While playing, we explore two-dimensional levels that resemble those from traditional adventure games. However, most actions — including movement and combat — take place in turns. The production features many strategic fights and arcade challenges, but the main emphasis was put on solving puzzles, most of which require us to creatively use the protagonist’s special powers. Another key gameplay element is gathering parts that enable us to enhance our ship.
Sadness was supposed to be an adventure in the convention of survival horror, maintained in black-and-white tone and gothic style. Unfortunately, the plans of Polish developers were taken to the head and the game never saw the light of day.

An entertaining platformer/logic game developed by Rock Pocket Games and distributed by Sierra. Shiftlings sees us assume control of two quirky aliens that take part in an intergalactic reality show hosted by Zookod, a charismatic presenter. We are given over 50 levels taking place on 5 different planets. Each level is filled with various riddles that often see us employ various laws of physics. Moreover, the heroes are connected through a conduit that enables them to change their sizes from big to small and vice versa. The game is characteristic for its reality-show setting with hilarious commentary as well as colorful visuals seen from a side-scrolling perspective.

A humoristic action-adventure game with RPG features developed by Swedish studio Ludosity Interactive. The title has simple 2D graphics and a classic top-down perspective. The story of the game focuses on two characters: a brave female adventurer Ittle Dew and her companion named Tippsie. Both of them crash at the shores of an unknown island. The island has many secrets and valuable treasures. The two protagonists start the greatest adventure of their life. During the game the characters controlled by the player explores various locations such as forests, underground corridors, insides of buildings. They also solve more or less complicated riddles and fight encountered enemies. The game combines traits of casual adventure game with action and RPG features. The difficulty of riddles isn’t high, but solving some of them requires creativity from the players.
