Human Resource Machine (WiiU)
Logic 29 October 2015
Another game by Tomorrow Corporation, combining the mechanics of logic games with a rather serious topic (rarely occurs in the genre) and unique visuals. The player assumes the role of a corporate worker who begins their long way to the top, having taken up the lowest job position on the 1st floor. Each in-game level represents a year of work in the corporation, when the protagonist has to complete a certain task from their superior. To achieve this however, the player has to automatize certain actions using simple in-game programming. The tasks require the player to solve puzzles with numbers on particular pieces, as well as create the right combinations in order to reach the score needed. Human Resource Machine stands out both with an original concept, but also its surrealist visuals and story, which delivers a satire on the modern, corporate world.

A combination of a two-dimensional platformer and a logic game created by the independent studio Brainseed Factory. The player assumes the role of an original protagonist, composed of four letters: "H", "E", "R" and "O", who traverses a dark world filled with threats. Exploring a fantasy land, avoiding countless traps, jumping across platforms and solving puzzles requiring the player to manipulate letters and create new words - these activities constitute the pillar of the game's mechanics. Creating words from letters is the key feature of the game, and this is how the player deactivates various traps and gains access to new locations. For instance, in order to open a gate, the player has to assemble the word "OPEN" from the four words given. Furthermore, the player often encounters various enemies capable of tearing the protagonist into shreds. Combat in this game requires us to create antonyms of words. A dark atmosphere present in the game was not built not only on a the minimalistic color palette applied by the developers, but also thanks to the soundtrack composed by musicians belonging to the Dutch sound producer SonicPicnic.

A dynamic multiplayer-oriented action game by The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, and a combination of the mechanics of casual match-3 games with elements of such classic titles as Tetris or Asteroids. In Tumblestone, you shoot falling colorful blocks with a laser beam located at the bottom of the screen. Your goal is to clear all the blocks by matching three elements of the same color, which makes them disappear. The simple mechanics are varied by many mods, which can diametrically change the situation on the board, and even the whole gameplay. The game features several modes, from the 30-hours-long story campaign and three Arcade modes, to co-op or player-vs-player multiplayer mode for up to 4 players using a local network or Internet connection.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars is a 2D logic platform game developed by Nintendo. The game uses the most famous characters from the company's cult games. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars we have to make our way through a series of levels where reaching the destination requires us to be creative when facing the many obstacles on our way. Characters move by themselves and go in one direction all the time, changing it only when they bounce off the wall. Players will have to build bridges and blockades in order to lead their heroes from one place to another. The amount of points they get depends on how fast they do so. The game has minimalistic 2D visuals, but it comes with a level editor that allows us to create our own levels and share them with other players.

Four Sided Fantasy (WiiU)
An original game developed by the independent studio, Ludo Land. It combines the elements of a logic game with platformer mechanics. The player takes the control of a young boy who explores an amazing world full of environmental puzzles and seemingly inaccessible places trapping the protagonist. Nonetheless, the land itself is picturesque, covering its secrets under a blanket of quiet and peaceful atmosphere. As it soon turns out, it is an imaginary world where the laws of physics do not apply. Thus, the gameplay consists of solving subsequent puzzles by manipulating the environment - the player can turn it aside for example. The protagonist can jump from one end of the map to the other, which allows him to travel upwards, downwards, leftwards, and rightwards, discovering previously unknown passages. The game features atmospheric two-dimensional graphics and a slightly psychedelic soundtrack.
