A rhythm game developed for PlayStation 4. DJMAX Respect is a special annual installment of the DJMAX series which was started in 2004 by the Korean company Neowiz. Similarly to Guitar Hero or Rock Band, it uses a vertical board divided into several tracks where colorful bricks appear and move down towards the bottom. Each track is assigned a gamepad button which we have to press when a brick is in the corresponding field.

A dynamic platform game, in which your task is to escape an underground realm. Octahedron differs from most other games of the genre by requiring a good sense of rhythm on behalf of the player. The game features 2D visuals in neon colors.

Arcade canceled

Another entry in the BIT.TRIP series – 2D auto runner platformers – developed by Gaijin Entertainment. The plot of Runner3 is a continuation of the adventures of CommenderVideo, the hero from the previous games. The gameplay didn't change much when compared to the previous titles but there are a few new features and improvements which are the result of community feedback.

An original production in which the flow of the gameplay is tied to the rhythm of the music - the world presented reacts to individual songs and single tones, and during clashes against our opponents, we are rewarded for adapting our actions to the dynamic songs. In Soundfall we play as Melody, a girl trying to save the land of Symphonia from a dark force known as the Discord.

An extended edition of The Metronomicon - a PC game, which came out in 2016. This new version was enriched with an expansion pack Slay the Dance Floor and released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Importantly, owners of the PC edition received the DLC for free. The game is a mixture of an RPG and a rhythm game, such as e.g. Guitar Hero. The player is given an opportunity to assume control of a team comprised of different characters fighting to the rhythm of music.

A combination of classical side-scroll shooting with music-rhythmic game. We play the role of the title warrior, who breaks through successive locations, eliminating the hosts of enemies with the use of a shooting guitar. Production is available in two versions, using a Kinect 2.0 controller or a traditional gamepad.

A classic music-rhythm game in which we will hear 25 songs of EDM composed by Tim Bergling, a well-known Swedish DJ, who until his premature death performed under the pseudonym Avicii. The game offers fun for a single player, as well as a multiplayer mode on a split screen.

The work of a one-man Canadian studio Brace Yourself Games in the form of a unique independent production that combines features of seemingly contrasting elements of a roguelike RPG and a dancing game. Crypt of the NecroDancer lets us play as a girl named Cadence, who sets on a journey to find her missing father. It leads her to the mysterious crypt ruled by an evil demon known as NecroDancer. It casts an unusual curse on the protagonist, making her heart always beat in rhythm of a music.

A light-hearted music game, released exclusively for PlayStation Vita. The developers responsible for Superbeat: Xonic are known for DJMax, a popular music game series, and have changed the studio name to Nurijoy in 2014. The gameplay in Superbeat: Xonic is based on pressing in the right moment the discs that move on the screen. Depending on the discs’ colors, we either hold or move some of them in the chosen direction.

Puzzle 24 February 2017

An upgraded version of Chime – a well-received mix of a logic and a rhythm game released in 2010. The new edition does not differ much from its predecessor – we are given a grid that is gradually filled with player-inserted blocks creating quads – rectangle and square shaped fields that are at least 3x3 in size. Completed figures unlock the further parts of the music track that accompany our actions.

A science-fiction rhythm game developed Mad Fellows. Aaero does not offer an elaborate narrative layer, focusing on allowing the player to control a small ship hovering above ground and fight the enemies that appear on the screen. The ship’s movements can be controlled with the analog sticks. The player is tasked with following the precise track and sticking to a white ribbon, which boosts the score multiplier.

A music action game released by an independent studio – Drool. The development team includes individuals who have cooperated with Harmonix Music Systems. The players are tasked with defeating CRAKHED – a large, crazy head from the future that is threatening the world. The action is presented from a third-person perspective, with the main character being a space beetle.

The second installment of an action adventure series with survival horror elements, developed by independent One Gruel Studio. In Heaven Dust 2 we play as Steve, who must escape a research facility infested with zombies and other bloodthirsty monsters.

Infinite Guitars is a music RPG in which we fight against deadly machines with the help of electric guitars. The game was developed by Nikko Nikko, an indie studio, and published by Humble Games.

Strategy 2025

A rhythm game and the spiritual successor to the iconic Patapon series. It was co-created by Ratata Arts and TVT, some of its developers including Hiroyuki Kotani (the creator of Patapon) and the composer Kenmei Adachi.

An original hybrid of narrative adventure game and rhythm game. In A Musical Story we follow the story of Gabriel, who escapes into the world of music to regain lost memories. In order to unlock subsequent flashbacks, we play songs, showing above all our sense of rhythm.

A music game where we play the role of a DJ. In Fuser we sit behind the DJ controller and combine vocals from different songs and mix instrumental tracks, as well as enrich the created "sets" with additional effects. The game allows you to share your work with other players.

FPS with elements of rhythm game and roguelike. BPM: Bullets Per Minute is played to the rhythm of a dynamic, rock soundtrack, and during the game we play a Valkyrie who defend Asgard from the Helheim invaders.
