A soccer simulation game, and the 21st installment in the FIFA series. The game was created by EA Canada development studio. As always, you can control players from your favorite teams in matches against living opponents or computer AI. FIFA 14's data base contains 15 thousand footballers from several dozen leagues from all over the world. As compared with the previous FIFA games, FIFA 14 brings about some crucial changes to gameplay mechanics, including improved ball physics. Furthermore, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions employ a new game engine, called Ignite (used also in Madden NFL 25), that ensures high quality graphics.

Another entry in the bestselling adventure game series, combining popular LEGO franchise with the classic universe of Star Wars. Its plot is largely based on the seventh part of the galactic saga, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and tells the story of completely new characters, though some familiar and iconic faces from previous movies appear in the background. There are also many exclusive plotlines that fill in the story gaps between Return of the Jedi and the latest movie in the series. The game mechanics remained mostly the same and the gameplay comes down to exploring, fighting enemies, and solving many logical puzzles, most of which require a creative use of the famous bricks. Nonetheless, some new features have been added, like allowing a multiply uses of single brick for different purposes and eye-catching blaster duels, during which we can make use of cover.

Another edition of a popular soccer game series, whose consecutive installments have been appearing yearly for over two decades, developed a Canadian giant and its subsidiary EA Sports. Traditionally, the game offers a full spectrum of single and multiplayer modes, including Be a Pro and the Tournaments returning after an absence in previous iterations. The new edition is more dynamic than its predecessor and brings about a wide array of changes, such as improved AI, new tactical options, and more freedom in the set pieces. Since FIFA 15 is the first game in the series released on the eight generation consoles and powered by the advanced Ignite engine, the most visible changes are related to the graphics. The ones standing out are remodeled players, accurately imitating profiles and faces of their real-life counterparts. Players react properly to the situation on the pitch, argue with the referee, or scuffle with opponents.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is based on proven solutions. Players once again have the opportunity to direct their favourite football teams on virtual pitches. The available game modes allow players to face either computer-assisted artificial intelligence or live opponents.

A classic, two-dimensional platformer considered a representative of the metroidvania genre, developed by Lunar Ray Games that was founded by a former employee of Microsoft and Bungie Software. The story of Timespinner is set in the fantasy universe of Ernah, created by the developer in the days of his youth. During the game we play the part a young girl named Lunaris, whose village was destroyed by invaders from another planet. Heroine's mother died during the escape, and she was sucked through a broken portal and transported to another world, where in desperation she vowed revenge on the oppressors. In the course of gameplay we explore subsequent locations, solve simple puzzles and fight enemies; and as we progress, we gain new weapons and gradually improve the abilities of the protagonist. A distinctive feature of the game is the power to manipulate time, by which Lunais can move through different eras, avoid enemies and get into seemingly inaccessible places.

Another installment in the platformer series for Nintendo 3DS. The titular protagonist of Kirby: Planet Robobot is a little pink fellow who has to bring back order to the Dream Land, as it was attacked by mechanical entities causing turmoil that needs to be dealt with. Mechanics are similar to those in the previous installments. The player travels through platform levels, uncovers secrets, and fights enemies – Kirby swallows them, which allows him to gain their special skills. The most important novelty are the mechanical armors – they enable him to overcome otherwise impassable obstacles. Kirby: Planet Robobot offers a single player campaign and the co-operation mode named Kirby Clash, in which three players face powerful bosses. From the technological point of view, it is a 2.5D platformer in which you can go deep into levels.

Skillful platformer telling the story of Donkey Kong monkey. This time the angry Tikis made a covenant with wild animals from the jungle, and to top it all off, he stole supplies of bananas. The game introduces cooperation mode, and the whole thing looks very impressive thanks to interesting boards, refined audiovisual effects and puzzles.

The story takes place 2000 years after the events of the original Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem Gaiden, focusing on a group of soldiers from the kingdom of Ylisse. The player controls a customized character suffering from amnesia, taken in by the king of the realm and serving him by defending the kingdom from monsters and forces of the hostile nation of Plegia. The gameplay, like in the previous titles in the series, focuses on tactical movement of characters across battlefield and fighting enemy units. Other features include the ability to build relationships between the characters to improve their abilities, adjustable difficulty levels, a mode that disables permanent death of characters, and multiple camera perspectives in battle.

The most characteristic feature of Super Smash Bros. is the appearance of characters known from other top-selling series of the Japanese developer. The roster also includes completely new and previously unavailable fighters from Mega-man, Pac-man, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, Animal Crossing, and Bayonetta. In terms of gameplay, the title remains true to the tradition of previous games in the series, giving us a unique mix, which requires more than simply pummeling your opponents. Each skirmish takes place on a special, multilevel arena, and the gameplay may change during the battle, in a more platform game manner.

Shovel Knight is a classical 2D platform game with elements of adventure and RPG, set in fantasy world. The title is a debut of the independent studio Yacht Club Games, hiring, among others, former employees of the experienced Way Forward studio. In the production, we impersonate a titular knight who, with the help of a legendary shovel-like weapon, fights the mysterious members of The Order of No Quarter. Traversing subsequent locations, our hero faces scores of enemies, including difficult bosses. Interacting with certain elements of the environment, he solves series of puzzles, facilitating the completion of a given level. Gameplay is modeled after classic platform games like Mega Man and Castlevania. Its old-school character is emphasized by pixel-art graphic design. The game lets you play alone or in a local multiplayer mode for up to 4 players.
