Multiplayer games - common screen Android

In shared-screen, players don't connect to a network - local or online - because the game takes place on a single console or computer. Two or more players play at the same time, but the screen isn't split - all of the characters (or vehicles, or whatever) controlled by the players are visible in the game window. This form of multiplayer is most common in brawlers, platformers (such as the LEGO series), sports simulators, and isometric co-op action games.

Batman: The Telltale Series
Batman: The Telltale Series

Adventure 13 September 2016

Another episodic adventure game developed by the experienced American studio Telltale Games, who had produced many highly acclaimed video games based on famous films, books, and comic books, such as Back to the Future, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones. Batman: A Telltale Game Series takes you into the grim city of Gotham, however, unlike Rocksteady’s popular action game series, Telltale Games’ production focuses on Bruce Wayne himself, showing his moral dilemmas and the burden imposed on him by the constant fight against corruption and crime. In terms of gameplay the title does not stray far from the studio’s previous productions. As always, the key element of gameplay is making tough choices that influence the way the story unfolds – and not just within one chapter but across the entire season.

During the game, they also use old books that allow them to cast dangerous spells and conjure comic horrors, which provide them with magical gifts. The presence of those entities, however, can cause madness, so you have to use their support sparingly. At the same time, you need to be wary of law enforcement officers, who want to capture the cultists before they plunge the city into chaos.

Antihero

Strategy 03 January 2018

A turn-based strategy set in the Victorian age, created by an independent developer, Tim Conkling. It takes us to a somewhat grotesque version of a British town, based on Charles Dickens’ descriptions, with us playing as a leader of the local thieves’ guild, whose task is to develop his organization and fill its vaults with gold. To achieve this, we must recruit new members to our gang, train them and send on missions like stick-ups, mugging, and assassinations. Infiltrating banks, factories, and other influential institutions is crucial to our success, in addition to building useful structures and researching new technologies – all of this without going broke of course. Antihero offers a huge freedom at expanding our criminal empire. Depending on our preferences, we can concentrate on more discreet activities or turn our organization into a full-fledged assassin’s guild.

The participants make their moves in turns and their actions are limited by a time limit. The game refers to the initial two-dimensional installments of the series, which means that battles are presented from the classical side view. The title does not lack for several enriching novelties, though. These include the possibility to hide inside buildings and to use vehicles that allow us to traverse the battlefield and deal damage to the enemy. Visually, the production features the characteristic cartoonish visual style, although the worms’ appearance and animation were refreshed.

The game focuses mainly on turn-based battles during which, the player can command over twenty different types of units. Contrary to the majority of similar games however, units do not last longer than through one battle here - the game places a special emphasis on winning at all costs. Later on, the player replenishes the casualties. Only the so-called Living Legends are an exception here, for the player can gradually upgrade their statistics alongside progression. Making good use of their skills, the player is capable of tipping the balance in favour of their victory more than once.
