New AMD processors, the so-called Ryzen 3000XT series, offer only slightly better performance than the basic variants, but cost considerably more (they are priced just like the 3000 line CPU on the day of release). Most reviewers are of the opinion that it's better to wait for Ryzen 4000 series - especially since AMD has just confirmed that it will appear later this year.

Intel has another reason to fear competition from AMD. Ryzen 5 3600 beat Intel's flagship i9-9900KF in a single thread performance benchmark. This is all the more surprising because Intel chipsets usually dominate this test, and Ryzen 5 3600 is a middle class CPU.
