An FPS set in a science-fiction world, created by the debuting American studio Valve Software. The story takes place in secret research facility of Black Mesa and begins the main character of the game – Gordon Freeman - arrives at the facility.

A continuation of the extremely successful action game from 2001. Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is once again developed by the Finnish developer Remedy Entertainment with the help from the publisher Take-Two Interactive. The action takes place one year after events of the first installment. Max Payne is back in NYPD. Unfortunately, the dark past still haunts him – the life of the hero is threatened by Mona – a beautiful killer, who steals his heart.

After a series of spin-off productions released for the 6th-generation consoles, the popular FPS franchise comes back in a full-fledged multiplayer installment. In accordance with the title, the events of the World War II are observed through the eyes of Boyd Travers, a paratrooper of the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division.

The third main installment in the popular FPS series, Call of Duty. It is also the first game in the franchise (not counting the console spin-offs) that in the end was not released on PCs. In contrast to the previous installments, this time the game was developed by Treyarch – the authors of the console version of Call of Duty 2. The plot of the game once again takes place on various fronts of World War II. This time one can play as American, British, Canadian, and Polish soldiers.

A first-person shooter based on the engine of the bestselling game Unreal. The title was developed by Digital Extremes and focuses on online battles between players on futuristic arenas. In Unreal Tournament the players can compete in several gameplay modes – deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, domination, last man standing, and assault. Each mode is different from the remaining ones. There aren’t many weapons available, but each one can be used in two ways.

The action of Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945 takes place in the last days of World War II, and during the game we play as Peter Maurer - elite German sniper, recruited by the American OSS agency.

Conflict: Global Storm is the fourth part of the popular series, the previous editions of which dealt with the war in the Gulf region (the first two episodes) and the military intervention of the United States in Vietnam from 1966-1969. This time we find ourselves on the battlefield from the beginning of the 21st century, and the heroes known from Conflict: Desert Storm and Conflict: Desert Storm II - Back to Baghdad enter the battlefield again.

City of the Dead is a first person shooter, whose names were lent by George A. Romero, the famous director of the horror/gore film series, who since 1968 has been successfully shooting further pictures about the struggle of people with zombies.

A new installment of the popular series from Pyro Studios, in which we take control of a unit of specially trained soldiers, sent to complete various tasks that help turn the tide of World War II. While developing Commandos: Strike Force, Pyro Studios decided to try a somewhat different approach, ending with a tactical action game seen from a first-person perspective instead of a classical tactical strategy game that the series has accustomed us to.

The sequel to Io-Interactive's well-received stealth action game from 2000. The game’s story starts in a Sicilian monastery, where the protagonist of the first game, Agent 47, tries to forget about his former deeds by seeking atonement in peaceful life and prayer. Unfortunately, he is soon tracked down by the Russian mafia and forced to get back to work. He quickly learns that he is being manipulated and eventually becomes a target himself, hunted by highly-trained ex-Spetsnaz operatives.

A first-person shooter that takes place during the World War II. The game was developed by Spark Unlimited and published by Activision. Call of Duty: Finest Hour is a console version of the PC title Call of Duty that was created by Infinity Ward. It’s not a typical port but a sort of expansion that offers modified plot. The game contains six interweaving stories during which the player assumes the role of three soldiers of allied countries: USA, Great Britain and Soviet Union.

Project: Snowblind is a first person shooter (FPS) in the realities of science fiction, whose creation is the responsibility of the Crystal Dynamics development team. The plot of the main campaign is set against the background of a civil war in China and the player takes on the role of one of the futuristic super-soldiers involved in this conflict. In addition to the solo mode, the creators of the game envisaged the possibility of multiplayer battles with a maximum of 16 participants.

Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood is the next installment of a series of tactical shootouts that took place during World War II. After the big success of the first game entitled Road to Hill 30, the authors from Gearbox Software decided to continue the topic. The new program appeared on the market only a few months after the original.

The fourth full-fledged installment of the tactical action game series, promoted with the name of the famous writer Tom Clancy. The game is a result of cooperation between the original series creators from Red Storm Entertainment and Ubisoft Montreal studio. Unlike previous Rainbow Six productions, the main plot is a dark story revolving around the character of Ding Chavez - the leader of a famous anti-terrorist squad.

Players are directed by Cate Archer, an agent of the top secret intelligence agency UNITY, which is trying to expose the activities of the sinister organization H.A.R.M. The creators have planned 15 dangerous missions played on 60 boards. The game also offers the option of multiplayer fun, in which 16 people can participate.

The third part of a very popular futuristic shooting game, started on slot machines. We sit at the helm of the title fighter, eliminating the enemy units we meet on the way. The producer has prepared a total of seven levels, played in different corners of the universe.

An arcade game that is a hybrid of FPS and TPP, based on two films about the adventures of James Bond. It includes events from both Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale. Individual levels can be passed both by the sneaking method, as well as loudly and without any finesse. The graphics are driven by a powerful and impressive engine from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

A spectacular first-person shooter (FPS) set during the Second World War. The game was developed by Treyarch, Activision’s subsidiary. It’s three-chapter campaign spans across the years 1942-1945, being set on Southern Pacific and the Eastern front. We observe the events from the perspectives of three soldier (two Americans and one Russian), and we get to take part in such military operations as the defense of Stalingrad or the Battle of Okinawa.
