Cyberpunk 2077: Is there a flashlight in the game?

In Cyberpunk 2077 you will find many locations with limited access to light, which negatively affects visibility. This may leave you wondering whether there is a flashlight or other portable light source in the game. Unfortunately, you won't find a flashlight in this game. There is no cyberware that will improve your vision in the dark, either. Instead, you should try out our methods of dealing with the darkness, which we described on this page of the guide.

Stationary headlights

In the game world you will encounter numerous stationary headlights.They are susceptible to hacking, so you can turn them on and off without an issue. Switching off the headlights will reduce the chance of being noticed by enemies. On the other hand, they are very helpful if you wish to light up the nearby area.

Night vision scopes

A good way to sidestep the issue of darkness is to use the night vision scopes that can be attached to weapons. You can buy these scopes from weapon vendors or find them in the game world. Simply attach the night vision scope to your weapon of choice through the inventory screen - as long as the weapon is compatible. Thanks to the night vision scope you can easily find your way in the dark.

Changing the brightness settings

Of course, you can also increase the screen brightness in the graphics settings. This is a solution that will permanently improve your vision in the dark without the need for in-game objects. Remember, however, that this will also affect the light in well-lit areas and during daylight hours.
