The Walking Dead: Destinies

The Walking Dead: Destinies is an action adventure game based on the popular TV show of the same name. It adapts the most important events from the first four seasons.

At certain key moments we can change the canon events and let the story play out differently, often saving or killing specific characters.

Plot

The game starts off just like the TV series did, starring Rick Grimes, a cop awakening from a coma in an abandoned hospital. He soon finds the outside world drastically changed, with zombies flooding the streets.

Rick joins a group of survivors, fighting together to survive in the world of the dead, where one most of all needs to fear the living.

Mechanics

The Walking Dead: Destinies is a third-person game, featuring several playable popular characters. Aside from Rick, we'll get to play as Glenn, Shane, Daryl, Michonne and others, each character having unique abiliites. The Walking Dead: Destinies also brings back some iconic locations, such as Atlanta, the Greene family farm, the West Georgia prison and Woodbury, ruled by the tyrannical Governor.

The game features stealth and direct combat. We'll wield firearms and unique weapons from the original series, such as Michonne's katana and Daryl's crossbow. Combat is very brutal - bloody decapitations and gruesome death animations are commonplace.

The game also features economic elements, such as managing and expanding our camp, gathering and using resources.

Technical aspects

The Walking Dead: Destinies is officially licensed by AMC, meaning the characters are directly modeled after their live-action actors, such as Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus.
