All Walls Must Fall is an XCOM meets Braid action tactics game set in cyberpunk Berlin

Spec Ops creators present All Walls Must Fall, a cyberpunk action tactic game with time-travel mechanics.

All Walls Must Fall is a new PC project from indie studio inbetweengames composed of ex-Yager developers, the people behind i.e. Spec Ops: The Line (the team also created The Mammoth: A Cave Painting). This time around, we are getting an isometric action tactics game with pausable real-time gameplay. The game is officially described as a tech-noir spy thriller with cyberpunk elements. Story-wise, it is set in Berlin in 2089, and the Cold War remains unresolved. You command special agents who use time travel technology, social stealth and combat to discover the truth behind a rogue nuclear strike and prevent nuclear apocalypse.

As the Berlin Wall still stands, the contrast between the West and the East becomes even more vivid.

Among their key inspirations the creators name XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Braid, the latter for its time-bending mechanics. All Walls Must Fall is going to feature procedurally generated levels and much freedom of choice (including ambiguous moral choices), which will lead to different outcomes of missions and the entire campaign. Also note the game’s propaganda posters-inspired art style that combines 2D and 3D elements. All Walls Must Fall is coming to Steam Early Access this fall.
