Banner Saga-like BEDLAM Coming Out Next Month
Skyshine’s BEDLAM is a kickstarted rouge-like strategy game inspired of The Banner Saga. The game is coming out to PC in September.
Fans of Banner Saga-like games should look forward to September 17, 2015. This day marks the release date of BEDLAM a rouge-like turn-based strategy game crowdfunded on Kickstarter last year. Produced by indie developer Skyshine, the title will be availbale digitally on PC. You can now pre-order Skyshine’s BEDLAM on Steam at 16.99 euro.
Bedlam is set in a post-apocalyptic world resembling the one featured in Mad Max franchise. Traversing the wasteland is the game’s protagonist, called the Mechanic, who has to safely escort a tank-like vehicle full of people eager to get to a legendary utopian Aztec city. Here’s a word from John Mueller, Art Director at Skyshine:
“The world of Skyshine’s BEDLAM was really born out of the best possible places, the stuff we loved when we were kids. The games, graphic novels and movies we experienced in the 80’s like Mad Max, Heavy Metal and Judge Dredd were all inspirations. We loved games like FTL and XCOM and the rogue-like genre was a perfect fit for what we wanted to accomplish. We have made a game our 14 year old selves would have loved, complete with vomiting monsters, killer robots and gruesomely funny deaths!”
Skyshine’s BEDLAM wil be playable at this year’s PAX Prime in Seattle (28th August to 31st September).
