Empire of Sin From Thursday in Xbox Game Pass

The latest game from John Romero, creator of Doom and Wolfenstein among others, will hit the Xbox Game Pass service on March 18.

During Saturday's Paradox Insider presentation, it was announced that John Romero's latest game, Empire of Sin will be coming to Xbox Game Pass this Thursday, March 18. The title will be available on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The title is a strategy game set in 1920s Chicago. We play as one of the mafia bosses and build a gangster empire from scratch and defend our business from enemies. Empire of Sin is a combination of solutions known from such games as XCOM (combat takes place in tactical, turn-based clashes) or Civilization. Managing an increasing number of resources reminds, in turn, representatives of the tycoon games family.

Reviews of Empire of Sin were far from enthusiastic, but praised the game's atmosphere, strategic elements and playability. On the other hand, the game became repetitive after a while, all the technical flaws began to give the players a hard time, and the shootouts were annoying with their unbalanced difficulty level. From Thursday, each Xbox Game Pass subscriber will have a chance to form an opinion about this game.
