First Reviews: Football Manager 2021 - Another Successful Installment
Today, Football Manager 2021 is officially debuting on PC. According to reviews on the web, fans of the iconic football series from Sports Interactive have once again delivered, although for the price of adding few truly significant changes.
- Today, after two weeks of beta, Football Manager 2021 made its official launch on PC.
- It received positive feedback in the industry media - average rating on Metacritic is 85/100.
- The title will also launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It will appear on these consoles on December 1.
Although FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer (now known as eFootball PES) have been competing for primacy for years, the Football Manager series, developed by Sports Interactive is also very popular, especially with those interested in behind-the-scenes of football. Today on PC (Epic Games and Steam), after two weeks of beta available to pre-orderers, its next installment, marked 2021, is officially debuting.
Some of you are probably wondering whether it is worth spending money on the new part of this popular football manager simulator. Industry reviews, which have begun to appear on the web in recent hours, can help you make the call. Most of them are very positive about Sports Interactive's game. Metacritic shows an average rating of 85/100 (based on 14 reviews). The critics praise mainly the technical improvements, especially the AI of the opposing teams and the match engine, which is supposed to provide a better experience on the pitch than ever before in the series. And it's still the good old Football Manager who offers plenty of analysis data and team management options and is able to attract football enthusiasts to the monitors for hours.
Nevertheless, Football Manager 2021 suffers from a similar affliction to other football games, i.e. the lack of any major changes that could significantly revolutionise the game. And we could really use those in some elements. This includes repetitive press conferences and talks with players. Besides, the title still has a very high entry threshold, although this doesn't have to be a big problem for everyone.
