KINGDOM OF NIGHT IN A NUTSHELL:

  2. Publisher: Dangen Entertainment
  3. Genre: RPG
  4. Platforms: PC, XONE, PS4, Switch
  5. Release date: October 2020.

Black Seven Studio has announced its debut project. It turned out to be Kingdom of Night, an action RPG inspired by horror movies from the 80s. The project is coming to PCs, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch consoles. The launch is scheduled for October next year.

The story will take place in a small American town of Watford, Arizona. The local cult accidentally summons the ancient evil deity Baphomet, while trying to make contact with the afterlife. In order to remain in the world of mortals, the being must marry a human woman before sunrise. The choice falls on a girl named Ophelia, who is kidnapped and imprisoned in a fortress known as Leviathan.

We play a young man named John, who is a neighbour of Ophelia. To save the girl, he will have to cut his way through hordes of undead and other monsters, defeat five demonic generals protecting Baphomet, and finally face the deity itself before it finishes its wedding ritual.

The gameplay in Kingdom of Night will focus on arcade battles. The player will be able to choose between nine classes with unique abilities, specializations and development trees.

The whole town will be a small open world and we will decide in what order we will defeat the five demonic generals. The game is designed to reward accurate exploration, enabling us to obtain additional items and information useful in the fight against the forces of evil.

It is worth mentioning that last year the developers tried to raise funds for the production of a game on Kickstarter, but the campaign ended in failure. This time they are organizing a new crowdfunding action on the site, but the minimum goal is ten times smaller. This is not a surprise, because in the meantime the creators managed to find a publisher in the form of the Dangen Entertainment company, which helps with production and marketing.
