Life is Strange to get a sequel; first part sold 3 million copies
Life is Strange 2 is just a matter of time now. DONTNOD Entertainment has confirmed that – encouraged by the success of the first game (3 million copies sold) – they are working on a sequel.
Sentimental, choice-based, time-travel episodic adventure game Life is Strange is officially getting a sequel, DONTNOD Entertainment has confirmed in their new YouTube video. The French developer has been working on the sequel since the release of Life is Strange’s box version in January 2016. Unfortunately, the team are not ready to talk details or show anything from their next project. Life is Strange 2, or whatever the game is going to be called, is also going to miss out on this year’s E3.
In that same video DONTNOD revealed that the first Life is Strange has sold 3 million copies worldwide to this date. The game’s first episode was released in January 2015 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, and later received a box version including all five chapters bundled, published by Square-Enix. The game has received much acclaim from both players and reviewers, who praised it for mature story, tough moral choices, and interesting time travel-based mechanics.
