PlayStation 3 is the 7th generation console from Sony. It was released on November 17th, 2006 in North America and March 23rd, 2007 in Europe. PS3 came about a year later than its biggest rival – Xbox 360 from Microsoft – so it didn’t manage to conquer the market as PlayStation 2 had done a couple of years earlier. Also, complicated architecture of the console – based on the Cell CPU which became a pain in the neck for game developers – made it harder to achieve great sales results. PlayStation 3 was succeeded by PlayStation 4 in 2013.

One of the strengths of the game is the fact that it benefits from the license of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. Thanks to that, the player competes against representations of real drivers, controlling real-life cars. The career mode constitutes the core of the experience. The player takes on the role of a beginner and competes for victory in Sprint Cup Series.

As a young member of the team, we fight against opponents in a race in which not only manual skills, but also a good fuel saving strategy and correct vehicle positioning are important. In the game we can face the famous characters from the film, as well as outstanding NASCAR athletes. The game offers multiplayer mode for 12 players.
