We finally got first Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, which, while not the longest, hid a few easter-eggs, including a character that fans of the X-Men movies may be familiar with – Pyro, played by Aaron Stanford. Interestingly, the actor talked to The Direct a few weeks before the trailer was revealed about returning to Marvel, and stated at the time that he would have to think about it.

I'd have to think about it. You know, it's a character that, I've been there and done that. I quite enjoyed it. And I still have many, many fond memories and a lot of lasting friendships from those experiences... I don't know, man. It's an intriguing question. I would have to consider it.

Who is Pyro?

Pyro is John Allerdyce, a fire wielding mutant who you may know from 2000's X-Men, but he had a very small role there. He made his screen presence more prominent in X2 and in X-Men: The Last Stand, where he served as an antagonist.

Pyro, who teamed up with Magneto, finally lost to the heroes in his last film. Iceman froze his hands in a clash, preventing Pyro from continuing the fight, so he was defeated, but as the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer shows – he's finally ready to return. He was shown in it for a brief moment and only managed to say “God, I love this part!”, but he still managed to make his presence felt and attract the attention of fans.
