After a worrying period of silence, No Manís Sky has got a big update, dubbed Foundation. Accordingly, it lays the foundation of base building and of features that are yet to come. Apart from the option to build your own base, the patch introduces two new modes: Creative Mode and Survival Mode as well as huge freighters, which you can purchase and customize in order to have a place to stockpile your goods. These major additions are accompanied by a bunch of smaller improvements and innovations.
Immensely hyped space exploration game No Manís Sky turned out to be a disappointment soon after it launched on August 9 for PC and PlayStation 4. Although Hello Games certainly offered an impressive huge world made up of bazillion stars and planets, there are actually few things to do there, not to mention that many of the features promised prior to the release are missing. These troubles, plus poor performance of the PC version, translate to a significant drop in the number of players Ė from the all-time peak of 212,321 on the launch day to fewer than one thousand concurrent players on Steam.
No Manís Sky is slated for release in June 2016, Sony announced during their media briefing at Paris Games Week. The upcoming title from Hello Games will launch simultaneously on PC and PlayStation 4. A new trailer from this sci-fi space sandbox action game was presented at the show.
Although the launch of No Man's Sky for PC has been rumored for some time, it was only now officially confirmed by CEO of Hello Games, Sean Murray. During PC Gaming Show panel which was held at this year's E3 in Los Angeles, Murray added that versions for PC and PlayStation 4 will hit the market at the same time.
