New Dawn is a cRPG game created by independent Polish studio Undead Society. According to the intentions of the authors, in terms of narration, the title refers to the cult Baldur's Gate, and its mechanics tries to imitate productions such as Fallout Tactics or Jagged Alliance.

In expansion Darkspawn Chronicles we play the part of a hurlock fighting for the armies of Blight to take an active part in a battle for the city of Denerim, the capital and pearl of Ferelden. During the game we can recruit every kind of darkspawn including other hurlocks, genlocks, and even mighty ogres.

Players direct the actions of a team of six heroes, which sets off to the dangerous and treasure-filled underworlds. The developers combined traditional gameplay mechanics solutions with the capabilities of the Nintendo DS console, implementing e.g. support for two device displays.
