Blue Tongue Entertainment Ltd. was the first to perform this operation, releasing in 2000 a strategy and tactical game entitled Starship Troopers: Terran Ascendancy. This time, the internal studio of Empire Interactive, Strangelite is responsible for development.

The production looks good on pictures and films, but was heavily criticized by the players because of too short campaign, lack of multiplayer mode and bad gameplay.
