Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Devs Prepare Lots of Stuff for PC Version; New Version
A new trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora shows off the various visual features that will be available on PC.
If all goes according to plan, in three and a half months we will see the release of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - an action adventure game by Ubisoft Massive, set in the titular universe created by James Cameron. The game is scheduled for release on December 7. The title will be released on PC, PS5 and XSX/S.
Today a a trailer showing various visual features and other stuff dedicated to the PC version of the game, has been released You can watch it below.
The footage reveals that when playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on PC, we will be able to:
- enable high-quality reflections and shadows - only in ray tracing mode - as well as use expanded graphics settings that will make all visual effects much more attractive than normal;
- conduct a performance test of the game in a "controlled environment", to choose such graphics settings that will give us the best compromise between the number of frames per second and the quality of visuals - in the latter, AMD FSR 2 image scaling technology will also help;
- choose a resolution "perfectly suited" to our screen or screens - no matter how many inches they are, whether they are ultrawide, whether we use one or several at the same time, etc.
- "use the full potential" of our PC, as the game is said to have been optimized for both high-end configurations - so it will make use of multiple cores - as well as for slightly older ones with limited power. However, the system requirements have not yet been announced.
As a reminder, I'll add that immediately after the release of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - as well as Star Wars: Outlaws - will be available on PC exclusively through the Ubisoft Connect app. The title will make its way to Steam and Epic Games Store, but only some time after its debut. As will all new games from the French, Avatar will also be available through Ubisoft subscriptions - on PC and XSX/S.
