Avatar is an action adventure game that takes place in Avatar's movie universe. The game was developed by Ubisoft and its Swedish studio Massive Entertainment (Far Cry 3, Tom Clancy's The Division). Both studios worked closely with 20th Century Fox and James Cameron, the creator of the series and its director. The game uses an advanced graphics engine called Snowdrop, which was created for Tom Clancy's The Division.
Plot
Avatar takes place in the 22nd century, on the moon of Pandora, which belongs to one of the great gas planets orbiting around Alfa Centauri star. Pandora, which has a rich ecosystem and is inhabited by a race of intelligent aliens called Na'vi, is the target of earthly corporations that want to obtain its valuable resources and minerals at all costs. While playing, players can take part in a conflict between Na'vi and greedy colonists, while exploring the fantastical landscapes of the moon.
