New RPG From Suikoden Devs Delayed Again
We will wait longer for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the Japanese RPG that is the spiritual heir to the Suikoden series.
We have bad news for fans of jRPGs.
- Rabbit & Bear has informed of the delayed release of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
- The new launch date is set for the second quarter of next year.
- The delay is due to the desire to polish the game. The developers also need more time to prepare physical bonuses for people who backed the project on Kickstarter.
This is another delay in the game's history. Initially, the release was originally scheduled for 2022, but the great success of the fundraiser on Kickstarter (more than $4.5 million was raised, while the minimum goal was $500,000) made the project become much more ambitious than originally planned. The new deadline was supposed to be this year, but as we now know, another delay proved necessary.
As a consolation, the fact remains that the project has already entered the final phase of production. In addition, the developers have announced that they will appear with Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes at the Tokyo Game Show 2023, which will be held from September 21-24. So that's when we should get a lot of new footage from the project.
The game is generating a lot of interest mainly because of its developers. After all, they are veterans of the classic Suikoden series. The team is managed by the father of the series, Yoshitaka Murayama, and other developers well known to fans of the brand, including Junko Kawano, Osamu Komuta and Junichi Murakami, also took part in the work.
As a final reminder Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is heading to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5..
