Eiyuden Chronicle Delayed by Spectacular Success on Kickstarter

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will suffer a delay due to unplanned updates. All thanks to the game's huge success on Kickstarter.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes devs have announced that the title will suffer a delay;
  • The reason is, ironically, the great success on Kickstarter;
  • Injection of cash will enable developers to achieve bigger scope when developing the game.

JRPG fans waiting for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes need to be patient. The developers have announced (via Twinfinite) that it will be ready later than originally planned. However, this is not necessarily a bad news. The devs intend to take the extra time to expand their title.

The reason for the delayed release is, ironically, the great success of Eiyuden Chronicle on Kickstarter. The minimum goal, which the developers set themselves, was achieved in just two hours. The devs have already been supported by more than 46 thousand people, and the amount of money pledged significantly exceeded their expectations. The conclusion of cooperation with the publisher, 505 Games, also helped in the work. Thanks to the injection of cash, Rabbit & Bear Studios can afford a greater scope in terms of game design.

So we have to say goodbye to the original release date set for October 2022. For now, it's not known how long the delay will last. However, the devs admitted that in addition to greater opportunities, the ongoing pandemic also affected their pace of work. So all that remains is to wait for the announcement of a new approximate release date.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will appear on PC, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series S/X. It is also possible that the game will be released on Nintendo consoles.
