Description:

A project that modernizes GOG.com version of Sin (might work on Steam, but it hasn’t been tested)

List of fixes:

widescreen: uses 1920x1080 and has a simple-to-use resolution patcher (thanks to the sinpatcher utility!)

indirectsound: fixes 3d audio and EAX!

config.cfg tweaks:

-raw mouse input

-FOV optimization: Uses 106.26, for 90 vertical fov. I prefer this, but instructions on how to change it are included.

-wasd + mouse keys set

Instructions:

Extract the archive and copy the contents of “Sin Gold” to game’s main folder.

BE SURE TO DELETE THE MOVIES FOLDER IN "GAME" !

If you wish to keep the movies, simply wait for the first to play, wait to pass the grey screen (loading), play the second, and when the game appears in a black window, press "alt-enter" to enter fullscreen. This should fix the black window. If this is a nuisance, simply delete every movie besides "sinend.avi" and this will keep the ending for you.

THIS WILL MAKE SURE THE STARTUP MOVIES DO NOT SHOW. THIS PACK HAS PROBLEMS WITH THE STARTUP MOVIES!

the game is patched to work with 1920x1080, you do not need to tweak the config.ini

to change resolution, please use the "changeresolution.exe" tool.

this mod utilizes indirectsound to re-enable eax.

this mod contains a fix for FOV. A fov of 106.26 is applied, which is corrected from the 4:3 default of 90. If you have a 16:10 monitor, open console and type "fov 100.39" without the quotes to fix this.

Game capped at 144 fps. to change, go to base/players/blade/config and edit set cl_maxfps "144".
