Achtung Panzer 2: Ostfront  is a mod for Blitzkrieg, created by GordonCZ Works.

Description:

A full mod with a large German grand-campaign covering the Eastern Front of World War Two from the beginning in September 1939 until the end in May 1945.

Playing as a Wehrmacht officer, you will experience rise and fall of the German armed forces while fighting through all phases of the largest and bloodiest theatre of war where two evil regimes clashed for dominance over Europe...

Main features

1. German grand-campaign: huge pack of 51 missions divided into 12 chapters covering the events on the Eastern Front and spanning the entire duration of World War Two in Europe from September 1939 to May 1945. Missions are powered by advanced scripting allowing for previously unseen battle scenarios.
2. Rich environments: battles take place on detailed and fully hand-crafted maps designed after real battlefield locations. Richness of maps environment is increased thanks to new terrain, flora, objects and buildings.
3. New units and nations: over 230 units based on 3D models plus numerous infantry soldiers based on 2D sprites in the ranks of armies of Germany, Soviet Union, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Czechoslovakia. All units have historically correct parameters (such as armor, guns and ammo) as well as historically correct camouflage skins.
4. Gameplay rebalancing: gameplay is focused on enabling and promoting combined-arms and maneuver-oriented warfare. Infantry has been made more resilient and plays more important role on the battlefield, while long-range artillery is no longer a decisive but more like a support weapon instead. Main focus is on direct unit-vs-unit combat.
5. Exclusive interface: dedicated inter-mission GUI crafted exclusively for this mod to further enhance visual immersion. Includes reborn Battleschemes for mission objectives screen. The mission GUI comes packed with number of quality-of-life improvements exclusive to AP2 mod.

Instructions:

The installation procedure is extremely simple because the AP2 mod comes packed in a single regular zip package file:

Unpack the downloaded zip file to your BK "Mods" subfolder.

After that, the folder structure for the mod should look like this:

".../Blitzkrieg/Run/Mods/AchtungPanzer2"

or ".../Blitzkrieg/Mods/AchtungPanzer2" (depending on your BK game installation).

In BK game, "Load Mod" named "Achtung Panzer v 2".

Start the custom campaign "Achtung Panzer 2: Ostfront".

Should you need more detailed step-by-step installation guide for beginners, you will find it written in the "ap2readme.txt" file, which is packed for you inside the "achtung_panzer_2_ostfront.zip" package with the mod itself.

IMPORTANT:

It is expected that you are playing Blitzkrieg with the updated "ailogic.dll" (by DTF Games). It prevents ground units in the game from shooting through buildings. The AP2 mod has been developed and tested for this updated AI Logic behavior, so using the outdated old "ailogic.dll" may cause undesirable issues.
