COD2: The Germans Mod is a mod for Call of Duty 2, created by  Gahler.

Description (in author’s own words):

In this mod, you will play as German soldiers in all maps. Has two custom maps, storylines, alternative history and etc. This mod is not intended to promote any ideology! The mod contains fake subtitles and i'm not recommended to play the mod if you fully know German.

Small update for mod:

-Fixed missing subtitles

-Fixed decoytown loading screen

-Fixed bug that americans could speak german in duhoc_assault maps.

-Added new dialogues in prussia map

How to install mod:

-Unpack all files from the archive to the root folder of the game. (Call of Duty 2)

-Enjoy the mod

-Axis and allies soldiers will speak native voices in mission dialogues.

-Germans has vanilla voices that are not from cod 2 german version

-Fake subtitles

-Most textures like boxes, crates, posters are edited by using paint.net and photoshop

-Russians has native voices

-Friendlies can die slowly.

-Added meleeing sounds for soldiers

-Replaced cod 1 german attacking and charge sound into unused german attacking and charge sounds.

-New uniform for winter wehrmacht, afrika korps and wehrmacht factions.

-Added Waffen SS faction

-Tanks replaced

-Some textures like boxes, flags, books are modified

-Added shotgun and greasegun from mp

-Friendly npcs will have insane accurate

-Friendlies can call protagonist's name.

-Enemies and friendlies can throw smoke grenades

-Soldiers with a sniper rifle and a panzerschrek will rarely appear during gameplay.

-Enemies and Friendlies can inform about spotting sniper.

-Removed fat german, american and russian soldiers

-Axis and Allies will have vanilla faces

-Differend uniform for Russian soldiers

-Added prussia and eyr2 custom maps (This is not my custom maps) And armors house... I can't tell you why i added armors house... You must find easter eggs in prussia to get armors house level.

-Germans can inform about spotting enemy machinge gun, british soldiers with bren and etc.

-and etc

Instructions:

Extract the archive to the folder with the game.

Bugs and problems:

-Sometimes you can see translation error in subtitles and diary (For example "box of guiltes"). I was using google and yandex translator. Maybe in next version i will fix these translation problems.

-Sometimes theres will be there missing subtitles in some other missions, for example "SUBTITLE_GR3_WARNING"

-Sometimes silotown_assault map it cannot be continued and therefore it is better for you to use a machine gun than a sniper rifle.

-Do not install german voices mod or the allies will still speak german

-Germans will still have scripted original names like for example "Pvt. Peas"

-Sometimes Rhine map can crash the game.

-Don't use panzerschreck to destroy crusader tanks in rhine map or trigger will be not working.

-Soldiers will still call smoke grenades as "hand grenade"

-Battlechatter for enemies it's broked. For example americans can expose their cover by yelling for example (Krauts! Behind the crates!) But in crates are americans not germans.
