Darwinia is a one-of-a-kind of strategy game (RTS), prepared by a team of Introversion Software. The main characters are Darwinianie, two-dimensional sprites from video games, to protect themselves against different viruses and worms.
Despite the fact that the game is made using three-dimensional engine, all objects (both Darwinianie and bad viruses) created by bitmap images. This gives you a unique and rare today, a breath of classic computer games, in which two-dimensional sprites were the order of the day. The game's story centers around Dr. Sepulveda, who in the 1980s started a dynamic activity on the market of video games. The need for the introduction of new technologies (especially the one called Protologic 68000), which met with due response from the industry, has led his group to ruin. Sepulveda after descending to the underworld, he continued work on the project in a short time the Protologic allowed it to create a virtual world called Darwinia. It is a place inhabited by the code of old video games, which, however, was quickly overrun by viruses and, consequently, got out of control.
Note: The second demo Darwinii based on code in version 1.3. Includes a special script, which you won't find in the full version of the game, a new user interface and tutorial.
