Weapon Quick Swap is a mod for Days Gone, created by fuxsart/dimasnik

It's a simple input.ini tweak allows to assign an additional key for keyboard/mouse to quick switch between primary, secondary, and special weapons.

WHY?

I'm using KB/Mouse and, honestly, don't really like quickly swapping weapons by scrolling mouse wheel or using 1- 3 buttons, it's often distracting and confusing me, especially when in the thick of battle.

So I decided to add the ability of quick swap weapons for keyboard/mouse the same as when using gamepad, by one hotkey, which is pretty handy, I guess.

DESCRIPTION:

So, if you just want to quickly swap a weapon, all you need to do is tap a hotkey to switch cyclically between your primary and secondary weapon, and hold this key to switch to a special weapon (e.g. Crossbow or Sniper Rifle). To switch back to primary/secondary weapon press the hotkey again.

INSTALLATION:

Before installation make sure to backup your origin input.ini file located in

C:\Users\...User Name...\AppData\Local\BendGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

The archive contains two files:

the first one is already edited input.ini file for those who use default key bindings, just paste it into

C:\Users\...User Name...\AppData\Local\BendGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

and confirm the replacement. The hotkey by default is "Tab".

the second one is the .txt file describing a few simple steps how to edit the input.ini file manually if you do not use default key bindings and how to change the key.

To uninstall just replace the edited input.ini file by the one you've backed up.
