Steel's World: The Bone Invasion is a mod for Dungeon Siege: Legend of Aranna, created by jest Surenas.

Description:

This mod for Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna provides you with original quests and supports high-level characters. The features include a rewritten story, original quests, better game balance, the addition of hubs for travel, pack-mules to hire in multiplayer mode, and updated regions with more treasure and dungeons to explore. The armies of the Bone Warrior's are waiting already for you all, upgraded with nice new and evil futures.

Steel's World: The Bone Invasion is a Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna mod for high level characters, ideally for characters that the players finished the game with. The mod features an original story, custom items, characters, quests, enemies and more. So, if you have kept your saved games, you have to create a virtual home network scenario in which you will be playing this adventure alone or with a friend. The reason for this, is that only through a network game it's possible to choose an experienced character who can be imported in the game.

Installation instructions:

Legends of Aranna is also necessary to be installed, besides the vanilla game. Unzip the file and run the .exe following the installer's instructions. If the installer gives you any trouble trying to download a file, you can install the game manually by copying the files:

[dsmap file] to .../games/dungeon siege/maps

[dsres file] to .../games/dungeon siege/resources

In order for you to play the mod, start Dungeon Siege and choose "multiplayer network", then "host", then "game" and lastly "ok". From the new window, choose "map settings" and choose "Steel's World 2.1 Bone Invasion". Then you can select the character with whom you will start the mod by importing him or her. After that step, click on "Start Game".

If you have problems running the game on modern PC use the mod called Modern Executables.
