Tour of Duty : Redux is a mod for Half-Life, created by ZikShadow.

Description:

Tour of Duty: Redux is a realistic team play mod for Halflife by Valve Software. The game is set at the height of the Vietnam war, between 1967 and 1973 allowing you to relive the conflict fighting either for the United States Marine Corp (USMC) or the Viet Cong (VC)/North Vietnamese Army (NVA). The mod features realistic weapons of the period, and a number of gameplay styles including control point capture, demolition or bombing missions, capture the flag/radio/codemachine and escape and evasion are the currently coded styles.

Redux is a HD modification for Tour of Duty, adding :

- Higher quality models, sounds, and sprites.

- Detail Textures for all maps.

- Higher quality graphical GUI.

- More fitting manual.

- Fixes some inconsistencies on texts.

- Other things i forgot to list here.

Redux already includes Tour of Duty, so you don't need to need to install the older version, just install this one and you're good to go!

Installation is simple, simply extract the ToD folder that is inside the .7z into your Half-Life installation folder (Where hl.exe is located, NOT inside any of the other folder such as "valve" or "valve_hd")"

Example would be "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life"

There should now be "valve", "valve_hd", and "TOD" inside you Half-Life installation folder along with any other mod/steam-related folders you may have inside.

Restart Steam, Tour of Duty : Redux should be inside the My Games list.

If that doesn't work somehow, create a shortcut of hl.exe, open it's Properties, add " -game tod" to the end of the target bar.

Example would be "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\hl.exe -game TOD"
