LargeAddressAware Hack (4GB Patch) is a tool by Nico Bendlin.
The Hearts of Iron 3 game was developed with the limitations of 32-bit operating systems in mind. This means that the engine can only use 2 GB of RAM, even if we have more memory on the PC. This results in lower performance, and if we use add-ons and mods - also game crashes. This mod fixes that.
4GB Patch allows the game, to use 4 GB of memory, as long as we use this project on a 64-bit operating system. This increases both engine stability and performance.
Instructions:
Extract the archive to the folder with the game, Run the program and point it to the .exe file running the game.
