Between Heaven And Hell is a mod for Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K. 2, created by Thearrel "Kiltron" McKinney.

Description:

Unofficial expansion pack by former Ritual Entertainment level designer Thearrel "Kiltron" McKinney. Contains three large, high quality complex maps with custom music. Unfortunately the rest of the planned twelve maps are not available.

NOTE by the developer:

This map, and the rest of the levels that will be released when complete, are not for the average game player. These levels were created with challenging puzzle based gameplay in mind, and is aimed at the more hardcore FAKK2 players. They are not easy, so don't expect them to be.

Notes:

In the second level(maf208) on two places large boulders will block your way. I couldn't figure out what should be done, something may be missing there, since the maps were never finished. Just use the noclip cheat to pass through and continue the level.

Hints:

The crossbow can be used to activate some switches just like with the slingshot. There are some new textures that mark surfaces for climbing, watch out for those.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Extract the maf207.pk3, maf208.pk3 and maf211.pk3 files into fakk folder in your game install folder where the other .pk3 files are (example C:\Games\Ritual Entertainment\Heavy Metal - FAKK2\fakk\pak0.pk3).

2) Run the game.

3) Press the ~ (tilde) key to bring down the console (if the console is not enabled go to advanced video options menu and enable it).

4) Type map maf207, map maf208 or map maf211 and press Enter to play the maps.
