ClassicBalanceMod is a mod by Heroes of Might & Magic V, created by Gothicew.

Description (in author’s own words):

The mod's task is to rebalance the factions, because in the base Heroes V, unfortunately, the problems are quite noticeable. My goal was to reflect the spirit of specific factions and to give more logic to faction creatures – for example in the base Heroes V the harpooner, after receiving armor, it's unclear why he lost defense instead of gaining it, and so did the red dragon. I also weakened some of the overly inflected traits of the units and highlighted the specifics of alternative upgrades.

The mod passed the balance tests (the factions are now more equal). For this purpose, I used a series of battles in a quick battle.

Extract to „..UserMODs/”

WARNING! DOESN'T WORK WITH OLD SAVEGAMES, IF YOU BUILDED Dragon Tombstone THERE! If you really want to play in old savegame, open mod file by WinRAR, go to "GameMechanics\TownBuildingSharedStats\Necromancy\Special_4", and open file "DragonTombstone.xdb".
