Heroes V: ARENA is a mod for Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East, created by Heroes V: Arena Development Team. At least for now, the mod is available only in polish.
Description (in author’s own words):
Heroes V: Arena is a new multiplayer modification for two players. We've taken the best of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, the "endgame battles", and designed a map that allows you to quickly prepare a hero and clash with the opposing player. Simple and fun, yet the number of possible strategies to play is countless. The games usually last 30-60 minutes per round.
It can be said that we have revitalized multiplayer gameplay in HoMM V and gathered a small but relatively active community.
A brief description of how the gameplay goes:
-> The game randomly assigns us a faction and a hero
->You get 4 talents to start + 16 lvl and have to plan what tactics we pursue in this particular battle
-> After making a hero collect artifacts from the chosen path, collect the chosen stats and go to get additional talents/ to the artifact merchant or buy the spells we need
-> Select unit upgrades and sell unneeded artifacts for exp (we can hit additional lvls)
-> Choose the battlefield and the fight begins.

- changes in strength, stats and skills of units to balance gameplay

- new artifact "ring of the Arena"
- map adapted for tournament events (of which there have already been quite a few)
- Rework of some of the skills and skillwheel
Instructions:
Extract the archive
Copy the file from the "Arena exe" folder, i.e. H5_Game.exe to the game folder to the location:
Folder with game/bin
Replacing the H5_Game found there.
Then, in the main folder of the game, we go to the Maps folder, if it is not there, then you need to create it. We put there Arena 2.1 [POL].h5m
Done, we fire the game using the substituted exe in the bin folder.
If you want to return to playing the standard version of the game, you will find the "Original exe" in the downloaded folder, replace the Arena one with it, throw the arena out of the Maps folder and Heroes V becomes the version without mods again.
