Description:
MH2Modern is a quality-of-life and compatibility patch for the PC version of Manhunt 2.
It focuses on cleaning up old Windows behavior, improving input, frame pacing and making the game behave better on modern systems.
What it does
- Adds raw mouse input for the DirectInput mouse path.
- Improves frame pacing and keeps the game on a steadier FPS path.
- Adds a low background frame cap when the game is unfocused.
- Cleans up fullscreen recovery and old D3D9 lost-device behavior.
- Fixes fullscreen cursor clip handling when alt-tabbing.
- Stops the game from changing Windows mouse and accessibility settings.
- Applies modern DPI and timer handling for better behavior on current versions of Windows.
- Adds FMOD audio compatibility fixes and removes redundant frontend audio setter spam.
Installation
1. Install Ultimate ASI Loader
2. Drop the provided mod files into your main game folder.
3. Everything is configurable in the MH2Modern.ini file.
