Project Realism - Sons of Liberty is a mod for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, created by alteredbeast.

Description (in author’s own words):

An attempt to bring more realism to the game. Now you will fear the bullets.

WARNING : The game becomes very unforgiving and harsh (checkpoints reset when dead, no access to GPS, new serious injuries system, etc...).

Tries to make the game a little more closer to a military simulator. Similar to games like Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis, SWAT 3 CQB, or Arma 2.

Compatibility

Currently works with Zeta since r6. If you find any issue be sure that Backwards Compatibility is enabled. It's recommended to increase by 1 the load order of every mod that adds new weapons, and then increase 1 more to Project realism - Sons of Liberty1 (so the load order should look like :

Backwards Compatibility 1, AllWeaponMods 2, Project realism - Sons of Liberty1 3).

Hints

Hold call key and press reload to check your health status.

Hold reload key and press left to equip a balaclava, or reload key and right to unequip it (only DD soldiers).

When entering a shower or a portable toilet, your wounds will heal after a while (2 and a half or 5 minutes). If you are using a crippled limb and feeling pain at the exact moment of the healing, your wounds will become infected. Just enter to a portable toilet and wait again.

If you're injured and die or decide to restart the mission or return to ACC, the wounds will still be there. Only way to heal is to enter a shower or a portable toilet.

You can temporarily carry two primary weapons when equipping a secondary weapon.

Map/iDroid only available inside of portable toilets.

Hold the stance button to order the helicopter to pull up.

Installation

It's highly recommended to make a backup of the following folders in case you want to restore Infinite Heaven and ihHook with your values : guiStyles, modules and saves. These folders are located in the mod folder.

If not already done, first install Infinite Heaven?. Then simply use SnakeBite to install the mod.
