56th Regiment of Foot 'West Essex' is a mod for Mount & Blade Warband: Napoleonic Wars, created by King_CreepaLot.
Description (in author’s own words):
Well howdy there, fellas. This is a basic reskin of the 33rd Regiment of Foot into the 56th Regiment of Foot, which bears the title of West Essex. This regiment is unique in that in 1764, the regimental facing was switched from a crimson red to pompadour purple. Nobody (Or maybe just me) is sure on why it was purple, however the troops often stated it was due to the color of Madame Pompadour's underwear.
List of Changes:
33rd Ranker to 56th Foot
Drummer now 56th (Optional, I honestly despise this skin and don't use it, it's farby!!!)
Purple facings
Correct regimental lace
New bump map to allow regimental lace to not look whack
Equipment for the 33rd (Canteen, backpack, crossbelt plate) now say 56
33rd shako plate now reads as 56
33rd flags are now for the 56th
Regimental drum
Installation is fairly simple and straightforward, there's a readme file just in case you need it.
Installation Instructions:
Make backups of your original textures (Unlike me)
Drag textures into the Napoleonic Wars 'Textures' folder
Find the troops.txt in the main directory of NW, open it
Ctrl + F to search for '33rd'
Once you see '33rd_Regiment_of_Foot' replace the 33rd with 56th
Alternatively you can replace the above with '56th_Regiment_of_Foot_(West_Essex)
You're done and ready to go
