The project acts as a fan remaster that thoroughly improves the game's visuals. First of all, a beautiful modern lighting system using ray tracing technology has been added (so you must have a card that supports this tech!) This allows the engine to offer dynamic tracking of global/direct lighting paths. To take full advantage of this, more than 2,500 volumetric lights have been added to the maps.

The mod also implements heavily improved textures, both of the cars and the maps on which we race. The end result is stunning and makes Need For Speed Underground visually impressive again.

Download the archive and extract it. Then copy the contents of the "NFS RTX" folder to the game’s folder.

The mod sets the game's resolution to 4K by default. However, you can configure it yourself by editing the "...scripts/NFSUnderground.WidescreenFix.ini" file in Notepad.

In the game, set everything in the graphics options to HIGH except for shadows and reflections. It should look like this:
