Quake 4 - Game Mod - Enmity - Download

Enmity is a mod for Quake 4, created by Jordan Hirsch.

Description:

Brief Description: Enmity is a Quake 4 mod consisting of a 3 room boss battle designed

to simulate multiplayer tactical combat. The first room features a tactical machine gun fight.

In the second players face the Prototype Strogg wielding a railgun creating a tactical sniper fight.

The third room is a traditional Rocket arena style fight.

The map was designed to accentuate the style of battle:

The machine gun room is designed in a "Hide and seek" style forcing the player to use cover

and attempt to flank the enemy.

The sniper room is designed to keep the player at a distance from the enemy forcing the player to use

standard snipe and cover tactics.

The rocket arena is more open with large obstructions forcing some "hide and seek" but promotes a

more aggressive play style.

AI: The AI scheme relies heavily on the "Tactical Transfer" AI that ships with Quake4 with only small

modifications.

AI Modifications:

Base Code (C++): removed sections of the code which encouraged the AI to become "dumb" and die.

Def: animation speeds, health, groundspeed, ammo, damage, weapon properties, accuracy, Shots fired.

Level Script: Added random movement to encourage more spontaneous play style of humans.

Textures: Strogg Prototype texture adjusted.

Weapons: created two new weapons/projectiles - dark matter blaster (scrapped wasn't fun but can still be

accessed via console command give all) and low damage rocket for final boss room.

To install:

Enmity was created patched to the most recent version of Quake4 (1.4.2)

please ensure you install 1.4.2 before playing enmity. 1.4.2 can be downloaded from http://www.quakeunity.com/file=2482

If you are using a multi display setup (two or more monitors) please dissable all but your primary monitor before playing.

Place the Enmity folder in Quake4 directory.

Start Quake4

select mods

Select Enmity

open console and type: "map enmity" (without the quotes) and press enter
